Since June 2014 Association “Baltic Coasts” is implementing several European Commission – Environment – LIFE Programme:

Since June 2014 Association ”Baltic Coasts” has launched the implementation of the LIFE+ Nature and Biodiversity programme co-financed project  LIFE EcosystemServices – Assessment of ecosystems and their services for nature biodiversity conservation and management”. The Project will be implemented in cooperation with Latvian Nature Conservation Agency and Municipality of Saulkrasti.

Since  September 2015 ”Baltic Coasts” Association has launched the implementation of the LIFE Climate Change Mitigation  project LIFE REstore – Sustainable and responsible management and re-use of degraded peatlands in Latvia. LIFE14 CCM/LV/001103. One of the tasks of the LIFE Restore project is to find compromises between peat extractors and nature protection organisations.
